A pizza cutter has died after being struck by a vehicle in Sydney’s north-west.
The accident happened at an intersection at Stony Brook in the suburb of Maitland at about 7.30pm on Tuesday.
It is understood the driver of a car, who was not injured, stopped to investigate the scene and noticed the pizza cutter was leaning over the side.
The driver then ran back to the intersection and called for emergency services, but the pizza was gone.
The pizza cutter is seen on the road near the intersection.
(9NEWS)Emergency services arrived to the scene just after 7.50pm, and were unable to locate the driver.
An autopsy has been ordered.
